Pivoting into 2023

As we countdown the remaining hours of 2022, it’s good to look back at all the accomplishments made throughout the year, and give acknowledgement. For GenerousAF, a lot was accomplished despite the social limitations still in place for most of the year. The biggest lesson learned was to just KEEP GOING! Keep it moving forward! Keep learning! Keep making connections, new and old! Keep sharing abundantly!

I also want to acknowledge the initial founding board members of GenerousAF Foundation, Kim Woozy and Ashley Masters; most known in the skateboarding community and Skate Like A Girl. They have just completed 3 years of advising on the board of directors of GenerousAF Foundation and I want them to be acknowledged for their continued commitment to serving people in all their communities worldwide! Their support in me as the founder of GenerousAF is unmatched! I truly appreciate the guidance, confidence and faith they have lovingly provided to me in growing GenerousAF in its mission to create pathways of generosity to others that build STEAM initiatives and projects that serve their community. It is because of their guidance and feedback, that I am able to continue building with GenerousAF and pivot as needed.

With that said, GenerousAF is officially pivoting its main business model from a grantmaker to a consultancy. GenerousAF currently has opportunities to make a greater impact by providing services in co-creating educational community programming and business development for newly growing nonprofits and advocacy organizations. GenerousAF has a growing list of clients, and we will share details when our partners are ready to make public announcements. While we will continue to provide support in grants in a case-by-case basis, going forward we will prioritize building partnerships with organizations that serve their community.

One of the partners GenerousAF has connected with in 2022, is PANVALA! They have a new program for funding communities called STAMPS. Panvala Stamps are revolutionizing the way we shift marketing & advertising profits back into funding our communities! GenerousAF has sponsored a set of 2 stamps that will help fund communities of the participating collector’s choice! See Panvala’s website to learn more about their stamps initiative and how to collect GenerousAF stamps!

Another partnership GenerousAF made in 2022, was through our connection with the Panvala community, named RegenCLT! We connected with Regenerative Community Land Trust in summer of 2022 with the shared the aim to demystify and simplify the process in acquiring & managing land trusts. They have recently pivoted & rebranded as “ReCommon”. Their mission now is to facilitate the reclamation and stewardship of common land by supporting the emergence of resilient place-based communities and regenerative economies. GenerousAF joined as a Lifetime Member and we are excited to share more news about upcoming joint-projects next year!

There is more to share about GenerousAF’s contributions to others, but we will be patient while our partners prepare their public announcements in the coming year!

As always, be kind, be safe, and be GenerousAF!

Happy New Year 🥳
